A Midway parent. An advocate for families.

Colin and his wife, Cindy, have lived in the Midway district for more than 20 years. They have three girls who have been at Midway from Kindergarten: a Midway graduate, a high schooler and a 3rd grader.

Strong advocates for families as partners with schools, the Witts have volunteered in several capacities, from PTA and WATCHDogs in elementary and intermediate grades to booster clubs for athletics, choir and Midway Band Backers in middle school and high school.

A Hewitt business owner and technology professional, Colin spent 18 years in education, working in technology and marketing at Baylor. He has a deep understanding of the role technology plays in education today and the challenges it poses as we move forward to educate a new generation.

A Large District. A Range of Voices.

Midway is a large district, including more than 8,200 students from parts of 7 different cities and towns in McLennan County. The district is in the process of rezoning with elementary schools feeding 2 middle schools, one on each side of the district.

For many years now, district trustees have almost all come from the Woodway side of the district. That's a primary reason why Colin decide to launch this campaign, to bring a voice from Hewitt to the table as the district makes decisions about what's best for our children.

We have great teachers, a talented administration, and strong athletics and fine arts programs. But our biggest strength may be in the wide range of people who call Midway home. Let's make sure those voices are heard.
